The City of Jerusalem
Here is another post about some Atrium work that Bunny LOVES! We are in the middle of getting things together for the Atrium that we are starting at our church. So that means that there are a few works that we dont normally have around the house. One of them is the large city of Jerusalem map work. This work is a large map with wooden pieces of the different places that are relevant to where Jesus went in the bible. This work is fairly easy, but Bunny loves to put all the pieces in their place. She was very quick in offering to help me make sure that all the pieces for this set that was donated to out Atrium! Here is what the work looks like:
We really love the Catechises of the Good Shepherd to help the girls with their relationship with God. If you would like to learn more about this Montessori based faith formation, check it out here.

Wonderful! I leading a mid-high girls Bible study and would love to make 3D map with them. Wondering if you have digital file of the layout that you could make available? That is really terrific! Thank you for sharing your idea.

Hmmmm….well I didn’t make the blocks, they were bought and I used the blocks to make the map. I have seen other cities made from building block glued together and things like that. Everyone is a little bit different. Here is a link to a blog that has a lot of pictures of different layouts. http://cgscreate.blogspot.com/2011/11/city-of-jerusalem-and-topo-map.html It is really not hard to make, just time consuming! If you have the cash, here is a link to a supplier that I have used. Her makes everything for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program. The city of Jerusalem is about $100. This is pretty close to the set I was given. I hope that helps! If you have a chance to do, be sure to pop by and let me know how it goes! I love this work and so does everyone I have showed it to over the past few years! Good Luck!
